The topic of the masters thesis is “Sustainable sewerage in a residential city: calculation, design, and treatment.” The dissertation is devoted to the development of a domestic sewerage project in a quarter in the east of the city of Kabul. During the study, the following tasks were solved: 1. Assessment of the amount of wastewater generated in a residential area and topographic conditions. 2. Design of a gravity-flow external sewerage system. 3. Design of a local wastewater treatment system using DEWATS technology with the ability to use purified water for irrigation. The developed project will improve the quality of life in the quarter and bring closer the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs) numbers 6, 11, and 15.
