This research studies the application of Lean Construction principles in residential projects within Egypt, particularly small-scale projects and companies. Waste is reduced and value is increased through the use of Lean Construction. While it is applied in other areas and works very well, it has not been developed in the residential construction sector of Egypt. This finding, therefore, provides untold opportunities and in-bed solutions that will help improve cost efficiency and timelines in a time when the operating environment is difficult. This research is based on mixed-method research, comprised of an extensive literature review, surveys, empirical experiments, and case studies. Data were collected through surveying practitioners in the residential construction sector within Egypt, comparing the cost and time performance of projects in the residential construction sector that are managed using Lean and traditional methods. The major Lean construction techniques researched are standardization, prefabrication, and value stream mapping. Comparative analysis assessed the impact on cost reduction and time efficiency on these techniques. Diversity in roles and demographics of the construction professionals within Egypt, the need, therefore, for collaboration and educative initiative that the research findings will show. Successes and Challenges of Implementing Lean Methodologies: Methodologies like Value Stream Mapping offer holistic solution towards the Improvement of Project Efficiency. This study highlights that the implementation of the principles of Lean Construction is what is needed for the residential construction sector in Egypt to overcome the cloud of inefficiency that hangs overhead. The established guidelines and practical advice have enabled the practitioner, with the consequence that considerable advantages have been acquired in regard to productivity improvement, cost-saving, and project improvements. This would be a critical contribution that ensures the industry is sustainable and resilient in the growth of residential construction in Egypt.
