The aim of this study is to increase productivity of LPBF process by fine tuning downskin process parameters and increasing layer thickness from 40 µm to 80 µm using Vzh 159 (Вж 159) alloy while ensuring excellent mechanical properties in the final part produced. The effect of layer thickness on the microstructure, porosity and mechanical properties were investigated. The results show a relative density of ˃99.5% with a double build rate. Average values of yield strength, ultimate tensile strength and elongation of 684.5±0.89 MPa, 924.1±27.90 MPa and 14.25±1.86% were recorded for the 40 µm LPBF sample while 651±5.04 MPa, 867±0.57 MPa and 11.5±0.87% were recorded for the 80 µm LPBF sample.
