The aim of the study is the elaboration and approbation of practical exercises aimed at the development of business writing skills in English for students of economic specialties in the blended learning format. The research set the following goals: 1. To analyze the theoretical aspects of teaching business writing as a type of speech activity;  2. To study approaches and methods of teaching business writing in English;  3. To identify types of business writing and create a typology of written business communication skills;  4. To classify blended learning models and determine the potential of their application to improve the effectiveness of business writing skills formation;  5. To develop a system of exercises for the development of business writing skills;  6. To conduct approbation of the developed set of exercises and analyse the results received. The data for the research were collected through the implementation of an experimental teaching process, where the effectiveness of the blended learning technology was assessed in a group of students majoring in Economics. Data were obtained via observations, student assessments conducted throughout the experiment. The study resulted in improvements in the business writing skills of the students. Statistical analysis of the results revealed that blended learning positively impacted key aspects of business writing.
