The aim of the research is to develop a system of exercises for developing lexical skills of students of non-linguistic profiles using interactive longreads. The research set the following goals: To conduct a theoretical analysis of the problem of lexical skills formation in EFL classrooms. 1. To analyse the concept of an interactive educational longread. 2. To consider the psychological bases of using interactive longreads, as well as didactic potential of their application in EFL teaching. 3. To substantiate the educational value of using interactive longreads in the process of developing lexical skills in EFL students. 4. To create educational content for the development of students lexical skills based on the use of interactive longreads. 5. To test the developed set of exercises in the real educational process, to analyse the results obtained. The relevance of using interactive longreads in teaching lexical skills to non-linguistic students is due, firstly, to the fact that modern curricula often allocate an insufficient number of classroom hours to the discipline of ‘Foreign Language,’ which limits the time available for systematic lexical instruction.  At the same time, many coursebooks do not provide a sufficient amount of materials for presenting lexis in context or for extensive reading, which are essential components for deep lexical comprehension and long-term retention. Thirdly, the nature of information consumption has changed in the digital age. Modern students are used to accessing and processing information through digital platforms, often interacting with multimedia content in their daily lives, which complicates vocabulary learning based on conventional methods. By aligning language learning with contemporary digital practices, interactive longreads offer a pedagogically sound method of enhancing lexical skill that fits the cognitive and behavioural patterns of todays learners. In addition to fulfilling the main goal of introducing lexical units in context and practising to consolidate them, interactive longreads promote autonomous learning, which is an important aspect in the context of insufficient class hours. The data for the research were collected in domestic and foreign scientific research literature and official Internet resources. The study resulted in the development of a set of exercises for the enhancement of lexical skills of students majoring in Economics using the interactive educational longreads.
