With the advancement of technology and society, as well as the increasing public awareness of building energy conservation and the growing popularity of energy-efficient software, it has been found that many existing school buildings have design flaws that lead to significant energy waste. The article proposes a BIM-based methodology, using orthogonal experimental design and sensitivity analysis as primary analytical tools, to conduct energy consumption simulation and parametric analysis on a teaching building planned for construction in An yang city, Henan Province. Based on the research findings and experimental data, an energy-efficient design strategy tailored to Chinas specific climatic conditions is developed. The strategy can serve as a reference for the design of future educational buildings and contribute to the reduction of building energy consumption.
