Using the technique of Mossbauer spectroscopy on {119}Sn, {121}Sb, and {125}Te isotopes, it was demonstrated that in crystalline lms (GeTe)[x](Sb[2]Te[3]) (where x = 0.5, 1, 2, 3) divalent germanium is located in octahedral positions of a rhombohedrally distorted NaCl-type lattice, and in amorphous lms of the same compositions, tetravalent germanium forms a tetrahedral system of chemical bonds, and in the nearest environment of germanium there are mainly tellurium atoms. Trivalent antimony atoms in crystalline and amorphous lms occupy two types of octahedral ones, and tellurium atoms are in the nearest environment of antimony. In all lms, the local structures of tellurium atoms correspond to tellurium structural units in the GeTe and Sb[2]Te[3] compounds.
