Vol. 3: Organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) have become next-generation display and lighting technologies owing to their unique merits of self-emission, ultra-thin and large area, soft light without glare and blue harmful, and flexible and bendable characteristics after the pioneering work by Ching Tang in 1987. It can be seen that the EL performance of OLEDs is not only closely related to materials, devices, interfaces, and out-coupling, but also strongly depends on the understanding of photophysical properties, electronic processes, and exciton utilization in OLED materials and devices. Recently, the development of new materials, new principles, new structures and new mechanisms has greatly promoted the improvement of OLED performance. This volume is devoted to provide readers with the progress of main problems faced by OLEDs in materials and devices. Vol. 4: Bioelectronics has attracted great interest for use in healthcare, diagnostics, and medicine. For these applications, bioelectronic devices can be worn, attached, implanted, and even injected to the body. Therefore, bioelectronic devices must be biocompatible and mechanically flexible or deformable. As such, conventional rigid bioelectronic devices have limited utility because conventional bulky inorganic materials are mostly biologically incompatible, bulky, and brittle. Therefore, to overcome these limitations, devices that use organic materials and inorganic nanomaterials are being evaluated as resources to realize bioelectronics that have various functionalities and applications. This book is written by leading experts who are currently working on bioelectronic devices and materials. In it, we attempt to include the fundamentals of the various bioelectronics system concepts, including sensor systems (e.g., e-skin, biosensors, biophotonic devices, electrophysiological sensors), bio-inspired adhesives, bio-inspired artificial nerve electronics, tissue-like bioelectronics, biodegradable organic materials, and their outlooks. This book presents state-of-the-art research results and principles of bioelectronics, with appropriate biological background to enable understanding of bioelectronics. This book will be a useful resource for those who wish to study organic or flexible bioelectronics and will be of great interest to the community of researchers who are working on flexible bioelectronics. It will be a good introduction for university students.
