The work was carried out in the laboratory of GSB&FS, where the antimi-crobial activity of derivatives of resin acids and their salts was studied. As a result of the study of the antibacterial activity of resin acids, it is shown that the greatest inhibitory effect on Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis microorganisms is exhibited by isomerized rosin and 12–bromodehydroabietic acid (DAK) and their salts, while the potassium salt of 12–sulfo–DAK slightly suppresses growth of Candida tropicalis. PASS online calculation showed that all derivatives of resin acids and their potassium salts (I–IV, VI *) can have a high protective effect for mucous membranes (Pa 93 – 98 %) and pronounced antiviral (flu) protection (Pa 70 – 80 %).
