The theme of the final qualification work: «Modeling of antimicrobial compositions based on essential oils for the treatment of textile materials». This work is devoted to the development of antimicrobial compositions based on essential oils in order to impart antimicrobial properties to textile materials. The tasks that were solved during the study: to review the existing methods of antimicrobial treatment of textile materials; to analyze the composition of antimicrobial agents for the treatment of feet/insoles and the inner surface of shoes, presented on the Russian market, to evaluate the effect and effectiveness of using essential oil as an active component of an antimicrobial preparation for the treatment of feet/insoles and the inner surface of shoes, to conduct an experiment on modeling an antimicrobial composition for treatment feet/insoles and the inner surface of shoes with approbation of the effectiveness of working options for compositions, to identify the best options for compositions and give a conclusion on their further use. The studies were carried out on the basis of the laboratory for the examination of consumer goods of the Higher School of Economics and Technology. The work uses standard and generally recognized research methods in commodity science. In the course of experimental modeling of the composition of the antimicrobial composition, a composition was chosen based on a water-alcohol solution with an ethanol concentration of 8.7%. Compositions with an essential oil concentration of 17% have the highest antimicrobial activity among those studied. When testing such a composition, the growth of test cultures in Petri dishes was completely absent. For prophylactic purposes, such a high antimicrobial activity is not required, therefore, an antimicrobial composition with an essential oil concentration of 1% is recommended. This composition showed the same effect on the culture test as the composition with 5% essential oil concentration.
