Настоящая работа посвящена изучению стратегий перевода реалий-американизмов в художественном тексте на материале романа американского писателя Джонатана Франзена «Перекрестки». Объектом исследования являются реалии в англоязычном художественном тексте. Целью работы является изучение особенностей перевода реалий-американизмов с английского языка на русский и выявление наиболее частотных и эффективных приемов их перевода. Рассмотрены разные подходы к определению понятия реалии и ее классификации. Представлены существующие стратегии и приемы перевода данного пласта лексики. Методом сплошной выборки проведен качественный и количественный анализ приемов перевода реалий-американизмов в романе Джонатана Франзена «Перекрестки», выявлены наиболее частотные переводческие приемы.
The given work is devoted to the study of translating American realias in fictional texts on the material of the novel “The crossroads” by Jonathan Franzen. The object of the research is realias in English fictional texts. The purpose of the research is the study of the distinctive features of realias’ translation from English into Russian language and the identifying of the most frequently used and effective translation methods of realias. The research contains a review of various definitions and classifications of realias, as well as their existing translation strategies and methods. The given work presents results of the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the American realias’ translation methods, using continuous sampling method, in the novel “Crossroads” by Jonathan Franzen. Based on these analyses, the most frequent and effective translation techniques are revealed.
