The work is devoted to the development and study of the applicability of algorithms with decision feedback for detectingbandwidth efficient signals, the transmission of which is occured with inter-symbol interference. The bit-to-error rate performance of the detection was evaluated using algorithms both for coherent detection of signals with phase shift-keying and for non-coherentdetection of signals with difference phase phaseshift-keying, including for transmission rates above the Nyquistlimit. The evaluation was carried out using mathematical modeling methods for various combinations of symbol rates and parameters of shaping pulses in a system with linear modulation. In addition, the paper shows that the choice of the optimal observation interval when using the decision feedback detection algorithm makes it possible to obtain an additional energy gain in terms of bit-to-error rateperformance compared to using the same algorithm, but with a fixed observation interval; this statement is true for coherent and non-coherent signal processing approaches.
